Девочки учатся бриться (2026)

Set in the late 1990s, this coming-of-age story follows best friends Misha and Taya, two young women longing to break free from a small coastal town where the adults have already mapped out their futures. Outspoken Misha develops feelings for a new teacher, while reserved Taya keeps a painful secret: her parents intend to marry her off to a foreigner to rescue the family. As betrayal and heartache test their bond, their friendship becomes a source of strength, teaching them that growing up is not about fleeing—it is about finding the courage to stand up for yourself, even when reality hurts.
