A Mapuche elder known as a kimche steps into a clinic overrun by patients clamoring for stronger medicine. But nothing is as it seems—these people are already dead, slain by a weküfü, a malevolent force that hides from sight. Guided by the wise man, the souls descend to Miñche Mapu, a spirit realm where the ultimate verdict is passed: who among them will be granted a second chance at life.
