Mare Sapiens (2026)
Director: Aurélie Darbouret
Beneath the waves, the stranger is a reflection of ourselves. Shot entirely underwater using only natural light and real ambient sound, MARE SAPIENS drifts through the Bay of Marseille as a realm where marine life, human structures, and technology share the same liquid space. Without narration or hierarchy, the film builds a purely sensory experience—allowing the sea to emerge not as a backdrop or a commodity, but as an environment that holds, pushes back, and endures.
