Vivo 76 (2026)

This project takes a deep dive into the culture and influences behind the creation and performance of the songs on Vivo!, the 1976 third album by Pernambuco-born singer-songwriter Alceu Valença. Using the album as a lens, it creates a vivid portrait of the birth of Pernambuco’s psychedelic scene, from its visual art and fantastical characters to its first steps toward Rio de Janeiro and mainstream success. It is a journey back to the 1970s, seen through today’s perspective and the eyes of tomorrow.
