In the ten-minute short Pragmatognossia, a young child’s voice—someone experiencing the world for the first time—brings the letters of the Greek alphabet into play. Old photographs, worn documents, faded seals, handwritten notes, tax registers, invoices, and stamps become both cracks in time and small flames that keep the state’s entire memory alive, frame by frame.
