Frost Without Snow and Ice (2026)

For more than ten years, Norwegian director Asgeir Helgestad has called Svalbard—the planet's fastest-warming region—his home base, documenting the remarkable existence of a polar bear he calls Frost, a devoted mother fighting to keep her cubs alive in an Arctic undergoing dramatic transformation. What begins as quiet observation evolves into something far deeper, turning Helgestad into a passionate storyteller determined to bridge the gap between people and the natural world, while shining a light on how climate change is unraveling one of Earth's most delicate ecosystems.
