A Film to Remind Us of Utopia (2026)

Deep within Esdras Baptista’s private film collection, preserved at his home for decades, pulses the raw energy of dreamers who dared to envision a brighter dawn. Shot across Brazil in the early 1960s, amid the white-hot fervor of a libertarian uprising, the director’s footage crystallizes the blazing intensity of shared hopes at the very instant they burst into being. Utopia—elusive as it may be—is never a hollow fantasy. It is the galvanizing current that fuels deeds and emotions, the essential engine driving the human spirit forward.
