In the Path of Giants (2026)

Deep in southern Bangladesh, a desperate clash is unfolding as hungry wild elephants—cut off by the world’s largest refugee camp—storm through farmland, ravaging the livelihoods of local growers. This volatile standoff involves three groups on a collision course: Rohingya refugees, Bengali settlers, and indigenous farmers, each fueling already fragile ethnic tensions. In 2017, Bangladesh opened its borders to nearly a million Rohingya fleeing Myanmar’s brutal ethnic cleansing campaign. But the sprawling camp built to shelter them inadvertently sealed off the elephants’ last migration route. Now, with no way out, a Rohingya refugee, an indigenous farmer, a Bengali forest ranger, and a dwindling herd of wild elephants are locked in an impossible struggle—fighting for land, survival, and the right to call somewhere home.
