Ownerships (2026)

Vera and Lucas, a forty-something couple worn down by frustration, think they’ve struck gold when they find a massive apartment at half the normal price through a “bare ownership” arrangement: they buy it now, while the elderly owner keeps the right to live there until he dies. At first it feels like a miraculous break, but the dream quickly turns into an obsession when Jesús vanishes, returns transformed, and stops acting like a man nearing the end of his life. Suspicion, irritation, and ever-darker humor push the couple toward a plan that is as ridiculous as it is tempting.
