In 1994 New Orleans, just before the internet took over, a pair of married pot dealers hit a parenting crisis when their five-year-old son accidentally catches their secret slang for weed. Convinced that "Brenda" is an invisible friend, the kid sets off on a playful mission to uncover the truth behind his parents’ mysterious imaginary pal. The film is titled after that very code word: BRENDA.
