A Clawsome Tale (2026)

This charming and playful short documentary offers a captivating peek inside The National Lobster Hatchery in Cornwall, UK. Established in the year 2000, the facility was created to avert a catastrophic decline in European Lobster numbers locally, following similar population crashes seen in Scandinavia and the Mediterranean. The story is narrated by Lowenna, a European Lobster, who guides us through her life inside the hatchery and the journey of her offspring, who begin their existence there before being set free into the wild. Through her eyes, we also get to know the dedicated team fighting for her species' survival, including Cornish fisherman Dan Gilbert and Head of Hatchery Production Ben Marshall.
