More About This Film

Collapse is a French documentary by Anat Even confronting the aftermath of the October 7, 2023 attacks and the destruction around Kibbutz Nir Oz. Over more than two years, Even returns to the place she considers home, documenting damaged landscapes while examining grief, memory, violence, and the human consequences of the conflict.

The documentary combines observational footage, archival material, and conversations with witnesses. Its personal point of view gives the film a reflective structure, while the destroyed environment becomes both a physical record and a backdrop for questions about identity, responsibility, and what remains after catastrophe.
