KAAKKATTHOLLAYIRAM KAMMYUNISTUKAAR (2026)

Over two pivotal days in Kerala, the film follows Aashik, a young activist in the Marxist party’s youth wing, as he and his comrades confront a reality shaped by war, inequality, and political disillusionment. These mounting pressures steadily wear down Aashik’s mental well-being, yet his personal life offers little solace or joy. Even so, he remains deeply committed to the political struggle, turning his inner turmoil into powerful activism. As tensions rise and hope grows faint, the story builds toward a striking final sequence: civil society pours into the streets, united in resistance and demanding a more just future. In this meeting of collective anger and collective hope, Aashik’s world opens to the possibility of renewal.
