The Quiet Hour (2026)

The Quiet Hour delivers an intense, close-up portrait of one NHS nurse’s unrelenting night shift, following overworked Riya as she fights exhaustion, guilt, and the weight of past mistakes while caring for her patients. With a struggling system, a dangerously understaffed ward, and nonstop emergencies pressing in—including dying patients, Fred, a combative amputee, and a medical error that almost proves fatal—her professional calm starts to crack. Tormented by memories of a young girl she could not save and by the widening gap between her and her teenage daughter, Riya’s night becomes a raw reckoning with compassion, burnout, and the quiet heroism that keeps the health service standing.
