Amid the drowsy heat of a Milanese summer, the streets sit empty while two lives unfold in quiet rhythm—Daria, a mother who has retreated from the world, tends a lush indoor jungle that has overtaken their apartment, and Lia, her daughter, steps out only for groceries and to chase her artistic obsession: a visual homage to Demeter and Persephone. But as Lia films the city’s sun-bleached corners and shadowy alleys, the myth she’s recreating begins to mirror her own story, pulling her gently—and inevitably—toward a fate she never saw coming.
