Comedy
Deep within a derelict amusement park, a low-budget horror movie is being shot on a razor-thin budget. The cast includes a director clinging to faded glory with stubborn resolve, a pair of leads whose fake on-screen chemistry has sparked a real-life romance, and a fiery makeup artist with a short fuse. The real horror ignites when the director stages a Blood Moon Ritual, designed to extract authentic terror from his actors—no pretending, only raw fear and genuine tears.

More About This Film

Blood Moon Rite 8 is a Vietnamese horror comedy that deliberately mixes a chaotic film set with supernatural danger. A struggling director has one final opportunity to prove himself by shooting an entire 35-minute movie in a single take, while the cast and crew struggle to keep the production under control.

Directed by Phan Gia Nhat Linh, the film is a Vietnamese remake of the Japanese cult hit One Cut of the Dead. The production preserves the spirit of behind-the-scenes filmmaking while expanding it into a feature with dark comedy, found-footage techniques, and zombie-horror elements.
