Riverkeeper (2026)

In metro Atlanta, Dr. Jackie Echols, a seasoned river guardian, defends the natural world and the predominantly Black neighborhoods that depend on the South River watershed. As the city breaks ground on Cop City—the largest police training facility ever built in the United States—she steps into a swelling wave of opposition. There, she uncovers a tangled web linking corporate expansion, rampant contamination, and the deep-rooted environmental injustice that has long plagued the area.
