Laika Goes Home (2026)

Driven by relentless ambition, rookie space explorer Captain Talia Valentine’s planned descent to Earth takes a violent detour when her vessel suffers a hard landing on a remote, drifting asteroid. Sharing this desolate outpost is Laika, a scrappy Moscow street pup who has been surviving alone in the cosmos for years. While Talia remains laser-focused on engineering a desperate escape, the cheerful canine simply embraces the newcomer as a playmate. As vital ship systems continue to deteriorate and a sudden, crackling transmission pierces the void toward Mission Control, Talia’s mission parameters shift entirely. With mechanical solutions exhausted and time running short, she uncovers a startling truth: the forgotten four-legged companion holds the missing element to her safe return.
