Convent (2026)

In present-day Thurgau, a local TV crew profiles the Catholic convent of Tobel as its anniversary approaches, capturing a community teetering on collapse. Just two elderly nuns still live within the convent, while overstretched civil servant Toni struggles to keep everything afloat. Hidden inside the convent walls is Lee, a wanted hacktivist who is foul-mouthed, geeky, and fiercely queer. After Sister Hildegard dies and church and political powers move to transform the convent into a luxury yoga retreat, Scholastika takes a stand against patriarchal structures.
