For three years, Berlin film students Julius and Moritz invested everything into their animated short Butty, dreaming it would be their big break. Then a festival kicked their film out, and they stumbled on a gut-punch of a revelation: Butty was already online, credited to an American director. What starts as a hunt for answers unravels into the jaw-dropping ascent of a shadowy figure known only as “Mr. F.”—a man being hailed as the next Walt Disney, whose empire was built on a stolen short film and a tangled net of lies.
