What happens after the headlines fade? When the #MeToo stories stop trending and court cases close, survivors of sexual violence are left to rebuild — not just their lives, but their very sense of self. For them, "normal" is no longer a given; it's something they must actively construct. The past doesn't stay buried. It lingers in the body, surfacing in flinches at gentle touches and in the quiet terror of ordinary moments — rising from bed, stepping into the shower, walking out the door. Every day is an internal war. While many survivors describe feeling trapped in a body that still belongs to yesterday, a collective of dance therapists, choreographers, and feminist activists has stepped forward with a different kind of healing: a movement workshop designed for trauma recovery. Here, participants rediscover the sensation of their own fingertips. They wiggle their toes. They breathe in and out, slowly, safely. Together, they move — not to escape the present, but to survive it — and to take their first steps back toward everyday life.
