Never Knew Love Like This Before (2026)

Set in Manila, 2009, thirteen-year-old Gino fills his days with TV and mobile games—until he stumbles upon his father's hidden collection of adult DVDs. Spotting his dad flirting with a bar girl in a gritty karaoke bar shatters Gino’s view of him as a moral authority. As he secretly catfishes Giliw, a trans woman from that same seedy nightlife scene, using his father’s persona, Gino begins to navigate his own desires, limits, and the delicate, bewildering journey into adolescence.
