Women from the Pack (2026)

This documentary traces the groundbreaking early acts of creative defiance by Black women performers from Bahia's Bando de Teatro Olodum, a troupe that took shape in the 1990s. Blending documentary storytelling with fictional elements, the film reframes the tension between institutional narratives and the lived, spoken truths of these women, centering their voices and experiences.
