Касса невест is a Russian adventure comedy with a science-fiction twist. In the near future, charming con man Lavrik is given an unusual assignment: travel back to Moscow in 1913 and steal the Cup of Hymen, a legendary object kept inside the Bride's Fund, a historical institution where dowries are accumulated.
His plan becomes complicated when he meets Varya, an honest and strong-willed young woman who is part of the Bride's Fund and has an unusual ability to sense deception.
