Freak Show (2026)

A bold new documentary follows a troupe of young disabled performers, handpicked by Warsaw’s Museum of Modern Art (MSN) to create a show for Halloween night—the museum’s grand opening gala. Under the fierce guidance of artists Nadia Markiewicz, Agata Wąsik, Daniel Kotowski, and "Babcia," the cast reclaims the shadowy legacy of 19th-century "freak shows," twisting it into a weapon of rebellion. Through drag, opera, and raw monologues, each performer exposes their own body and lived experience before the lens. The story builds to the museum’s debut, where their vulnerability erupts into a radical manifesto—shocking the crowd, smashing taboos around marginalized bodies, and shattering conventional ideals of beauty.
