The Prophet (2026)

In the quiet, sun-scorched village of Manjacaze, Mozambique, Pastor Helder pours his soul into sermons that fall on dwindling ears. A man of deep kindness but wavering conviction, he watches his flock shrink while his own belief cracks under the weight of doubt. Desperate and hidden from the eyes of his community, he turns to forbidden means—seeking answers in the shadows of witchcraft. At first, the change feels like a miracle: attendance rises, voices swell, and hope returns. But when the borrowed power begins to demand its price, Helder discovers that what lifts his church may also be the very thing that will tear his world apart.
