A woman from Marseille, kept distant from her heritage by her parents, stumbles upon a hidden family secret after receiving a mysterious package. Inside is proof of Alev, her paternal great-aunt—a young woman who, in 1960s Istanbul, was investigated by a detective before being deliberately wiped from the family’s history. This is the first feature from Alexandre Büyükodabaş, drawing inspiration from Chris Marker’s La Jetée.
