A romantic getaway takes an unexpected turn when a volcanic explosion traps Bethany and her boyfriend Rob in Warsaw, Poland. Together, they venture through hidden lofts, pulsating clubs, and secret alleyways—only to find themselves caught in a tangled emotional journey that tests who she truly is.

More About This Film

Erupcja is a compact Polish-language-leaning relationship drama set in Warsaw, where a visit from Bethany and her boyfriend Rob becomes emotionally complicated when Bethany reconnects with Nel, a woman from her past. Their personal tensions unfold against the strange backdrop of a volcanic eruption that disrupts travel plans.

Rather than treating the disaster as a conventional thriller device, Pete Ohs uses it as a metaphorical and atmospheric force. Charli XCX, Lena Góra and Will Madden anchor the story, while Warsaw becomes an important part of the film's loose, observational visual style.
