Truly Naked is a coming-of-age drama centered on Alec, an introverted teenager who has grown up viewing intimacy through the camera because of his father's small pornography business. His sheltered perspective begins to change when he meets Nina, a classmate whose independence challenges everything he has learned.
The film uses Alec's relationship with Nina to explore identity, grief, family pressure, and the difficult process of learning how to connect with people directly rather than from behind a lens. Its unusual premise gives the teenage story a darker, more complicated setting than a conventional school drama.
As an independent festival-oriented film, availability is likely to depend on regional festival and digital distribution deals.
