Larry (2026)
Director: Christopher Rutledge
Takeshi Murata and Christopher Rutledge push their mischievous exploration of slick, hyperreal commercial CGI—and its slimy, chaotic unraveling—even further in Larry. The film sends its namesake hero, a bleary-eyed baller dog, tumbling through a string of ever-stranger, messier loops. Backed by a soundtrack of cranked-up electronic beats, these scenes add up to a gleeful study of shape and movement, with the canine star endlessly leaping, cloning himself, draining shots, and melting into pixelated sludge.
